About Me

Hi! I’m Sam.

My path into exercise oncology started with my mom. She taught me early on that movement is part of living fully—whether that meant long walks together or simply staying active through everyday life.

When I was 14, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. As her only child, I became her caregiver, and we leaned on each other every step of the way. She was my best friend. Losing her when I was 18, just before I started college, changed everything.

Not long after, I came across research on how exercise improves quality of life in women with breast cancer. It felt like a light turning on—I knew this was the work I was meant to do. I shifted my studies and built my career around one goal: helping people living with and beyond cancer find strength, hope, and support through movement.

Every program I create is in her memory. My mom was a single, working mother, and I carry her spirit into making supportive care accessible to anyone who needs it—whether they’re raising a family, managing work, or navigating survivorship on their own.

To me, exercise isn’t just about fitness. It’s about reclaiming confidence, energy, and the joy of doing something for yourself.
